Farmers are among the most vulnerable groups to the impacts of climate change, as they depend on stable weather and environmental conditions for their livelihoods.
A recent analysis by an organization representing the world’s 35 million ancestral, small and medium farmer families, who have been farming for generations, reveals a significant disparity in the distribution of international climate finance.
An average farming family in India earned Rs 10,218 per month in 2018-2019, up from Rs 6,426 per month in 2012-2013. Business Standard reported that this represents modest earnings growth of about 60 percent over six years.
