एक ओर हीटवेव का प्रकोप पूरे देश में फैला हुआ है। वहीं कूनो नेशनल पार्क (Kuno National Park) के चीते भी इससे परेशान हो रहे हैं। चीतों को गर्मी से निजात दिलाने के लिए वन विभाग पानी से छिड़काव कर रहा है। 

भारत सरकार ने प्रोजेक्ट चीता (Project cheetah) के दुसरे चरण की तैयारी भी शुरू कर दी है। अंततः गांधीसागर अभ्यारण्य (Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary) को चीतों का अगला घर चुना गया है।
