Following talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin, two types of views have emerged from Congress regarding the position of the Government of India. One side says that the government must maintain the balance, while the other side says that Russia’s action must be condemned.
The main leader of the Congress and former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anand Sharma, has emphasized the measures taken by the government. At the same time, another senior congressional leader, Manish Tewari, argues that the government should take a clear stand on this issue and tell Russia that this attack is wrong.
