Delhi: 6-month-old girl and her disabled sister raped

A 40-year-old man who allegedly raped a six-month-old girl in Delhi’s Samaipur-Badli district was arrested, police said. As per the reports, his friend, who is also accused of raping the baby’s teenage sister, is absconding.

Police have arrested the accused, identified as Kamal Malhotra, alias Chinu, a worker, after a brief shootout in the Samaypur Badli area. According to police, Chinu is a resident of Jahangirpuri, while Raju owns a store near the victims’ house. The incident happened on Friday when the mother of the victims returned home after work. Hearing crying near her house, she went out and found that the accused had forcibly harmed her daughters. Seeing the victim’s mother, the suspect fled the scene.

She heard screams in the neighbourhood and found that Chinu and Raja had allegedly raped her daughters. When they saw the woman, they fled the scene, police said, citing a statement.
