Ground Report | New Delhi: Why Traitor Sonu Nigam is Trending; Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam is highly sought after for shows abroad. The overseas Indian community loves to listen to Bollywood music and singers are regularly called in for events. But he reportedly got into a verbal fight with someone who is a cousin of Mumbai BMC boss Iqbal Singh Chahal.
It seems that Rajinder, cousin of Iqbal Singh Chahal, had a dirty war of words with the singer. A source close to Sonu Nigam told SpotboyeE that Sonu Nigam received correspondence from BMC boss Iqbal Singh Chahal to perform at an overseas concert through his cousin Rajinder. Over the years, an international promoter named Rocky manages Sonu Nigam's work, so he told Rajinder that all inquiries should be directed to him.
Rajender has now issued a statement of clarification through his spokesperson stating that the claim is baseless. "The difference emerged between Mr Sonu Nigam and Mr Rajender Singh, as Mr Singh resisted working with one person referred to as Rocky and Mr Rehan Siddiqui recommended by Mr Nigam to perform at a concert overseas. Mr Rakesh Kaushal (alias Rocky) and Mr Rehan Siddiqui have been banned by the Ministry of State for Home Affairs, Govt of India," read the statement.
The statement further denied the claim that Rajender is a cousin of BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal, stating that they are simply from the same village in Rajasthan.
According to the spokesperson, Rajender Singh Pahl has over two decades of experience managing Bollywood celebrity roadshows and events. He has worked with veteran actors such as Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan (Unforgettable in 2008), Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla-Kajol-Akshay Kumar (Awesome Foursome in 1997), Anil Kapoor-Aamir Khan-Priti Zinta (Lagaan tour). , Akshay Khanna and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to name a few.
The statement further raised questions from Rajender Singh Pahl to Sonu Nigam: "Why do you insist that Mr. Rajender Singh Pahl work with those who are banned by the government of India? Why do you want to work with Anti-national who finance and does he work?with the Pakistani terrorist groups?does he have business ties and ties to them?adding that the ED or IT department should investigate the 'terrorist financing' money trail leading to Mr. Nigam.
