भोपाल की घटती हुई हरियाली का सीधा असर यहाँ के तापमान पर पड़ा है. एक शोध संस्था के अनुसार पेड़ों की अनुपस्थिति से यहाँ की सतह का तापमान बढ़ता जा रहा है. इसका सीधा असर यहाँ के स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स और मज़दूरों पर पड़ा है.
