The 28-year-old singer was gang-raped of her by three youths late on Friday night on Jyoti Baba Path in the Ramkrishna Nagar police station area of Patna, the youths also made a video of the crime. The victim is a local singer who performs at weddings, birthdays and cultural events in Bihar and hails from the Jehanabad district.
A 28-year-old girl from Jehanabad lives in Mithapur, Patna and works in a cultural program. It is being told that on Friday night, Pintu Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Karu Kumar, residents of Ramkrishna Nagar, booked the girl to sing a song in a marriage hall. When the girl reached there, she was surprised to see no program of any kind there.
She said in her statement, "When I went to the marriage hall, I was shocked to see no such ceremony there. When I questioned the accused present there, they pointed a gun at me and dragged me inside a room.
Before the girl could understand anything, the three youths took turns forcibly raping her and making a video of her.
She said, "I somehow escaped from the clutches of the accused and ran to another room and locked him from inside. I immediately contacted the police control room and informed them about the incident."
Then the girl called at the Ramakrishna Nagar police station. On receiving the information, the police of Ramkrishna Nagar police station reached the spot and arrested the three accused from the marriage hall. (video Singer raped Patna)
The police also recovered a country-made pistol and three bullets from them. Ravi Ranjan, in charge of Ramkrishna Nagar, said that three youths have been arrested in connection with the rape of the girl. At present, the matter is being investigated.
