Star Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan divorce has been granted by Delhi Patiala Court, noting that his estranged wife Aesha Mukerji subjected him to mental agony.
Judge Harish Kumar of the Patiala House Court accepted the allegations made by Cricketer Dhawan against his wife Aesha in the divorce petition. In it’s order, Judge Harish Kumar said,
"Even though the wife denied the allegation, submitting that she genuinely wanted to live in India with him, but could not due to her commitment towards her daughters from her previous marriage requiring her to stay in Australia, she could not come to live in India and that he was well aware of her commitment, yet she did not choose to contest the claim."
The judge also stated that Melbourne-based kick-boxer, wife Aesha made Shikhar suffer a long-distance marriage. Although, the court has not passed an order of permanent custody of Zoravar, The court also granted Dhawan the right to visit his son and interact with him in India and in Australia where Aesha Mukerji lives. Furthermore, it ordered Aesha to bring Zoravar to India for visitation purposes, including overnight stays with Dhawan and his family and during the school holidays.

Shikhar Dhawan married Aesha Mukherjee, who has two daughters from her first marriage, in October 2012 and have a ten-year-old son, Zoravar Dhawan. According to Judgement, in the marriage of 8 YEARS the couple didn't live together even for 1 Year in continuity because Aesha wanted to take care of her daughters. Aesha made Shikhar pay even for her daughters from previous marriage, while receiving child support from her previous husband.
Shikhar was made to pay lakhs and lakhs every month for maintenance of Aesha, her 2 daughters, 3 dogs and Zoraver including foreign travels, exotic holidays and even dog training. As Zoraver was also living in Australia, that’s why Shikhar could never live with him for long time.
Demanded 13 crores for Divorce
Esha demanded 2.5 Million Australian Dollars (13 CRORES) for mutual consent divorce from Shikhar Dhawan and to transfer all the properties in Australia to herself while keeping Zoraver’s custody. Meanwhile in 2021, Aesha had spoken about getting a divorce in a social media post.

India's prolific batter who played 2015 and 2019 Cricket World Cup for India was dropped from the Indian squad for 2023 Tournament. However, the left-handed opener continues to play franchise-based cricket for Punjab Kings. Dhawan led PBKS in IPL 2023.
