Ground Report | New Delhi: A pregnant goat was raped and tortured to death in Kerala’s Kanhangad Kottachery and Senthil, a Tamil Nadu native, was arrested as a result of the event. The search has begun for two other people who accompanied him. The incident occurred on Tuesday night.
According to the Hosdurg police, the incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday at a hotel in Kottachery, near Hosdurg.
Some of the hotel staff held the defendant after they heard unnatural sounds in the cattle barn. One person, identified as Senthil Kumar (37), from Tamilnadu, was detained, while two others managed to escape.
An official said two others fled the scene. In fact, the staff had kept a goat and a pregnant goat behind the hotel. Around 1:30 p.m. m. on Wednesday (March 30, 2022), the hotel staff heard some noises behind the hotel. When they got there, they saw three men fleeing by scaling the wall, meanwhile they grabbed Senthil and two of his companions fled.
After this, when he went to that place, he found the pregnant goat dead. Traces of sexual abuse were found on the body of the goat. After which he informed the police. Hosadurg police, who rushed to the scene, arrested Senthil.
The hotel owner told police that Senthil, a resident of Tamil Nadu, had come to him three and a half months ago looking for work.
Police said they will be charged under the relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and for unnatural offenses under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). If convicted, they can face life in prison or up to 10 years. (Goat raped)
