What is Sai Varshith Kandula’s connection with India, attempt to kill Joe Biden?

An Indian man has been arrested for driving a rented truck into security barriers near the White House. The 19-year-old, identified as Sai Varshith Kandula, expressed his admiration for the Nazis, saying he wanted to "seize power" and "kill the president."

After flying from St. Louis to Washington D.C., he rented the truck and carried out the incident. Kandula is expected to face charges including threatening to kill a president, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a vehicle and trespassing.

It is alleged that he had been planning the attack for six months and had detailed his plans in a "green book", associating Hitler with a "strong leader".

Who is Sai Varshith Kandula

Sai Varshith Kandula, a 19-year-old of Indian origin, has made headlines for his alleged involvement in a disturbing incident near the White House.

According to authorities, Kandula intentionally crashed a U-Haul truck into a security barrier at a nearby park. It is reported that he is an admirer of Nazi ideology and even waved a Nazi flag during his attempt to "seize power" from the government.

Kandula's intentions were revealed when he confessed to Secret Service agents that he wanted to take control of the nation and that he was willing to harm the president if necessary.

Although no weapons or explosives were found in the truck or in Kandula's possession, his actions have raised significant concerns. Investigations are ongoing, shedding light on his motivations and the potential threats he posed.

Admired the Nazis

Kandula's intentions were revealed when he told Secret Service agents that he had flown in from St. Louis on a one-way ticket, with the goal of reaching the White House to seize power and potentially harm the president. He expressed admiration for the Nazis and their history, as well as their authoritarian nature, eugenics, and the concept of a world order.

Prosecutors have brought multiple charges against Kandula, including assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a vehicle, threats against the president or members of his family, destruction of federal property, and trespassing. He leased the truck in Herndon, Virginia, with a valid contract in his name. Surprisingly, there were no red flags on her rental record that could have prevented the transaction.

No attorney for Kandula has been listed in court records, and his contact information in public records appears to be inactive. The incident took place in Lafayette Square, known for its public viewing of the White House, and Kandula's actions caused panic among pedestrians as he drove onto the sidewalk to reach the security barrier.

Lafayette Square has been a major location for demonstrations in the past, including during protests over police brutality following the death of George Floyd. The park had been closed for almost a year, but reopened in May 2021.
