Mohan Yadav will be the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He surprised everyone by suddenly declaring Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the Legislative Party meeting. Mohan Yadav was not even in the race for CM till yesterday, but suddenly in the meeting of the central leadership and the legislature party, Mohan Yadav's name was approved and the suspense of about two weeks ended.

Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended his warmest congratulations to Mohan Yadav on his appointment as the upcoming Chief Minister, affirming his belief that Yadav’s leadership will propel Madhya Pradesh toward greater prosperity and advancement.

I am certain that with the insightful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, you will elevate Madhya Pradesh to unprecedented levels of progress and development, setting new benchmarks in public welfare. Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on embracing this new role!,” expressed Chouhan.

Who is Mohan Yadav?

Dr. Mohan Yadav is a close leader of the Sangh. He started his political career from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the year 1984. They gave him the responsibility of city minister of Ujjain. In 1986, they assigned him the responsibility of department head of ABVP.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad made Mohan Yadav the state co-minister and also gave him the responsibility of the national minister of the student wing of RSS. RSS also made him the co-section secretary and city secretary.

In the year 1997, Yadav entered BJP Yuva Morcha from student politics and with the formation of BJP government in the state in 2003, his stature also increased. During this period, he was elected Chairman of Ujjain Development Authority.

In the year 2011, during Shivraj Singh Chauhan's administration, they gave Mohan Yadav the responsibility of the post of Chairman of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. He assumed a big responsibility after becoming MLA in the year 2013. The Shivraj government appointed him as the Higher Education Minister when they came back to power in 2020.

Yadav won from the South seat of Ujjain by about 13 thousand votes. Mohan Yadav had been the Higher Education Minister in the previous Shivraj government. He won the election for the third consecutive time. Mohan Yadav became MLA for the first time in the year 2013.
