In one of several posts on Twitter, Wilders stated, "It is ridiculous that Arab and Islamic countries are angered by Indian politician Nupur Sharma for speaking the truth about the Prophet who indeed married Aisha when she was six years old and consumed the marriage when she was nine."

Dutch MP Wilders has tweeted one after the other in support of Nupur Sharma. He has claimed in his latest tweet that he has been threatened with death by many Muslims for supporting Nupur Sharma.

He wrote in another tweet, "It is very ridiculous that Arab and Islamic countries are angry with Indian leader Nupur Sharma for speaking the truth on Prophet Mohammed. Why should India apologize?"

Geert Wilders targeted Islamic countries in another tweet on Tuesday. He wrote, "Don't listen to hypocrites. Islamic countries have no democracy, no rule of law, no freedom. They persecute minorities and flout human rights in a way that no one else does. They should be criticized Must have!" Geert Wilders has also appeared in a tweet on Wednesday that the whole of India should unite and support Nupur Sharma.

Who is Geert Wilders?

Born on September 6, 1963, Freedom Party Chairman Geert Wilders is a Dutch politician who chose agnosticism while he was Catholic. It carries out a policy against Islam with the idea that right-libertarian policies such as lowering taxes, abolishing the welfare state, eliminating the minimum wage, minimizing state regulations and interventions, and the religion of Islam and freedoms are incompatible.

Emphasizing that his real hatred is towards the religion of Islam, Wilders said in a statement, "Fascist Islam, the sick ideology of Allah and Muhammad are at the root of the problem, and the source of this ideology is the 'Islamic Mein Kampf' (Mein Kampf), that is, the Qur'an.

Due to such statements, a criminal complaint was filed against Wilders in 2006. However, in 2008, the prosecution decided that Wilders could not be prosecuted.

Wilders and his party want tougher measures against foreign immigrants and changes in immigration laws. Wilders leads the largest opposition in the Netherlands to Turkey's membership to the European Union.

What is the whole matter?

Nupur Sharma had made a controversial comment about the Prophet Muhammad in a talk show on a news channel on May 26. In addition to Nupur Sharma, another BJP spokesperson, Naveen Kumar Jindal, had also made an objectionable tweet about the prophet.

His comments continued to be rejected in India for several days. About ten days later, Islamic countries reacted harshly to this statement. Qatar summoned the Indian ambassador, Deepak Mittal, and officially delivered the objection note. Qatar asked the Indian government to publicly apologize for this matter.

The controversy escalated so much that after this the Bharatiya Janata Party suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal was expelled from the party.

On the other hand, the Government of India tried to convince the Arab countries that the statements of these two leaders have nothing to do with the position of the Government of India.

Even after this, the protest did not stop. Apart from other countries, the BJP is also facing opposition from its supporters over Nupur Sharma's suspension.

The party cadre is said to be dissatisfied with this action taken against both leaders. However, the British newspaper The Indian Express has claimed in a report that several senior BJP leaders say the decision to suspend and expel the two-party spokesmen for controversial statements about the Prophet Muhammad was "good and correct".
