The India Meteorological Department has predicted rain and cold in many parts of India in the next few days. In its latest bulletin, the IMD wrote, “Light to moderate rainfall activity likely over Central India during 10th-13th and East India during 13th-15th February, 2024."
IMD Forecast: Minimum Temperature and Cold Wave
The weather report said that the minimum temperatures were low in many places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The coldest place was Sikar in Rajasthan, where the temperature was 2.7°C.
The report also said that some places in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh had cold wave, which means very cold weather.
The weather department said that there will be light rain or snow in some places in Arunachal Pradesh and West Bengal on February 9, 2024.
IMD Forecast: Rainfall
It also said that there will be a change in the air pressure over the central part of the country, which will cause light rain in many places in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal from February 10 to February 15, 2024.
Some places in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh may also have thunderstorm and lightning from February 10 to February 12, 2024.
The weather department said that there will be light rain in some places in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala from February 9 to February 15, 2024.
The weather report said that the minimum temperatures will not change much in the next two days, but will increase by 2-3°C after that.
It also warned that some places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Rajasthan may have cold wave on February 9 and February 10, 2024.
