Netflix film Archies: Zoya Akhtar launching multiple star kids career in one go

On May 14, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and Netflix announced a new film based on The Archies Comics. Zoya Akhtar made us all happy as she announced the Bollywood version of The Archies.

The show is an Indian adaptation of characters and stories from Archie’s comics and will mark the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, with the upcoming film receiving mixed reviews. Reactions have been pouring in on social media ever since its announcement.

Zoya shared a poster and a short first look teaser of the show on Instagram on Saturday morning. The poster shows the ensemble posing in a wooded field, in 1960s costume.

The minute-and-a-half video, set to the tune of an original track by Ankur Tewari, shows the film’s setting in the 1960s. The Archies, which went into production last month, has been described as a “musical drama-packed of youth, rebellion, friendships and first loves”.
