Gunnaur Assembly constituency is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Budaun District and is one of the five Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Badaun (Lok Sabha constituency). This time the main contest is being told between BJP MLA Ajit Kumar alias Raju and Ramkhiladi Yadav of Samajwadi Party.

BJP Candidate Ajeet Kumar
Ajeet Kumar alias Raju Yadav is an MLA from Gunnaur assembly seat Uttar Pradesh. He won the election of MLA in 2017 as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
SP candidate Ramkhiladi Singh Yadav
Ramkhiladi Yadav started his political career in 1979 with Lok Dal. He became the Badaun District President of Yuva Lok Dal in 1985. He had contested elections from the Janata Dal in 1989 from Gunnaur assembly seat, which was included in Badaun district, but he could not win. In 1991, he again contested the assembly elections from Janata Dal and won. After this he lost the elections in 1993. In 1996, he won on Janata Dal ticket.
Congress Candidate VIJAY SHARMA
26 Year old Vijay Sharma is Congress candidate from Gunnaur seat. He is son of Jai Pal Sharma.
BSP Candidate Firoz
BSP has bet on a new face from Gunnaur assembly constituency. Haji Firoz Alam, a resident of Khagupur village of Asmoli area, has been fielded from Gunnaur on a BSP ticket. Haji Firoz Alam used to do oil business earlier, now does property work. This is his first election.
Tough Contest on Gunnaur Seat
SP has again fielded former MLA Ramkhiladi Yadav from Gunnaur. Due to this, a camp of SP is said to be angry. On the other hand, the people of PSPA, who are hoping for Shivpal to contest the election, are also disappointed with not coming in the seat account. On the other hand, there are many voices in the public regarding BJP MLA Ajit Kumar alias Raju Yadav. In such a situation, it is being considered challenging for them to retain the seat.
