Delhi weekend Curfew: In wake of alarming rise in Covid cases in the city, the administration has decided to impose weekend curfews along with a host of other new restrictions in the national capital.
Delhi recorded more than 17,000 cases and 104 deaths in single day on Wednesday. Besides the night curfews and weekend curfews, the government has also decided to close down all gyms, spas, malls and auditoriums.
The cinema halls will be operating at 30% capacity while only take-away food will be allowed in restaurants and eateries. The in house dining option has been prohibited.
Delhi government has also decided to allow only one weekly market to function in each municipal zone on any given day. Delhi is divided into 12 municipal zones divided among three municipal corporations.
During the weeked curfews, all essential services will also be allowed to operate.
Kejriwal said that special passes will be given for weddings and people going to the railway station or airport will also be permitted to travel.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced these host of new restrictions on Thursday. CM Kejiwal said that most people go out for entertainment on weekends while on weekdays they have to go out for work.
