Team India extended their innings 9/1 on the third day. The 15-run tally for India was far worse. On this score, Team India lost their four wickets. On the second day of the match, India scored 244 runs in the first innings. For India, captain Virat Kohli played an excellent innings of 74 runs. In response to India's score, Australia's first innings was reduced to 191 runs. For India, off-spinner R Ashwin took the most four wickets. On the basis of the first innings, India got a significant lead of 53 runs.
