A 75-year-old businessman has allegedly raped a 35-year-old woman writer at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, police said. According to the police, the defendant threatened the woman on behalf of the underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim. In her complaint, the woman alleged that she received a call from D-gang threatening her to keep quiet and not file a complaint.

“A case was filed against a 75-year-old businessman in connection with the rape of a 35-year-old woman in Juhu, Mumbai. The accused allegedly threatened to kill her on behalf of Dawood Ibrahim if she complained to the police; she got a call from a D gang," police said.

The police further said that the accused had taken out a loan of Rs 2 crore and has not repaid the money. The defendant threatened to kill her when he demanded money from her.

The accused businessman had allegedly taken a loan of Rs 2 crore from the victim and failed to pay it back. Furthermore, when the victim tried to speak out against her, the accused businessman and people associated with Dawood Ibrahim directly threatened her that if she told anyone about this, they would kill her.

The investigation of this case has currently been transferred from the Amboli Police to the MIDC Police, which is investigating the woman's claims.
