Ground Report | New Delhi: Why Justice For Hemamalini trending; A 20-year-old college student who was allegedly living in an ashram and had been seeking treatment for her illness from a self-made deity for more than a year, died on Tuesday after consuming pesticides. In a complaint lodged with the police, it was learned that the woman's parents had said that they suspected her of adultery.

According to a report in the Times of India, the police have started questioning the self-styled godman, Munusamy, based on the parents' complaint.

The victim was Hemamalini, 20-year-old college student who came in 2020 with chronic abdominal pain and neck pain. He is studying BSc in a private college. It is learned that Munuswamy had said that he would be kept in the ashram for treatment. Thus, the student has been staying at the ashram for more than a year.

Munusamy is said to have treated the student by staying there as an online class is conducted at the Corona Curfew Colleges. He and his aunt stayed with him at the ashram. In this condition the student vomited on Tuesday morning.
