However, recent exposes by her real-life friends on social media have brought to light a web of deceit that includes fabricated identities, false activism, and even her own faked demise.

The user Cow Momma brought this to light. The woman, who called herself Sanchayita R Lenin, claimed to be an orphan, adivasi, vegan activist from Assam who had died from stage 4 cancer.

However, it was later revealed that this was not true. Her real name is Sanchayita Bhattacharjee. She used to raise money for herself and her “friends”. But things took a turn when her real-life friends exposed that her social media identity and activism were all fake.

Sanchayita Bhattacharjee: Online Deception Uncovered

It appears that Sanchayita Bhattacharjee held fundraisers not only for herself but also for purported "friends," accumulating a significant amount of money in the process. The unravelling of her true identity has left the online community shocked and dismayed, as she manipulated emotions and garnered support under false pretenses.

The elaborate scheme came to light when some of her real-life friends decided to investigate the authenticity of her cancer diagnosis. They stumbled upon discrepancies in the medical documents she had provided as proof. The turning point came with the discovery of a QR code on a lab report, initially believed to be legitimate. Upon scanning, it led to an original report for a dengue test, not the alleged biopsy results for cancer.

Further scrutiny revealed that Sanchayita had used the dengue test report as a template, forging the biopsy results with her real name and changing it to "Ruth Lenin." This elaborate ruse included altering her age and other minor details. To add to the deceit, she had presented two basic-looking reports from Gauhati Medical College, but upon inquiry, there was no record of her as a patient.

A friend of hers explains in a detailed video how and when she started having doubts about Sanchayita. "With a very heavy heart, we have to inform you that Sanch, who is known to all of us as a friend and associate at numerous levels, has turned out to be a complete con.

She further added, Over the last couple of months, mainly in the last three days, we have come to this realization. Sanch has lied about their age, identity, origin, and profession. What's most disturbing is that they've faked cancer. We have all the evidence," the friend says in the video.

In an unexpected turn of events, Bhattacharjee allegedly faked her own death. An announcement was made stating that Sanchayita Ruth Lenin (Murmu), born on February 22, 1996, had passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 27. There was an announcement that she passed away on January 9, 2024, from stage 4 cancer. However, someone on social media claims that Sanchayita, also known as Sanch, is not dead but alive and living with her parents.

Contrary to her claims, it has been revealed that Bhattacharjee is neither a vegan, an orphan, nor an Adivasi. Furthermore, she does not have cancer and is reportedly alive and well.

The provided information from a video posted on social media that expresses deep disappointment and shock about an individual named Sanch, short for Sanchayita Bhattacharjee. The speaker in the video describes Sanchayita Bhattacharjee as a common friend and associate who misrepresented various aspects of her life. The allegations claim that she falsified details about her age, identity, background, and most notably, faked a battle with cancer.

The name, both fake and staged, doesn't generate any leads in any Google search. Someone created her page on the memorial website EverLoved only a couple of days ago, but it no longer exists.

As communication with Sanch became harder, her friends started to suspect dishonesty about the money and treatment. On the night of her supposed surgery, Sanch allowed only her friend Urmila to update them. Urmila, using a fake Instagram account, gave unclear details about Sanch’s health, eventually saying Sanch had passed away. However, minutes later, Sanch called them, saying she was fine after surgery and blamed the confusion on her “out of control” cousin.

Sanchayita Bhattacharjee accused of faking death

The speaker in the video goes on to reveal that Sanchayita Bhattacharjee has allegedly even gone to the extent of faking her own death. The video suggests that there was a fundraiser organized four months ago to support Sanch's supposed cancer treatment, and the community is urged to give time for processing the situation. The speaker acknowledges the interconnected nature of the community, particularly on Instagram, and expresses the intention to look into next steps for those who feel wronged and want to make a complaint.

The revelation sent shockwaves through the community, as individuals who had generously contributed to her fundraisers learned they had been deceived. Sanchayita's friends took to social media to expose the truth, sharing the evidence they had gathered and urging others who felt wronged to come forward.

Rheea Mukherjee, an author, shared on her Instagram that a person named Sanchayita tricked her and her friend Ankur, an animal rights activist.

Ankur said, “I met Sanch in August 2022 and we fell in love. In 2023, Sanch went back home and told us she had breast cancer. Rheea and I decided to support her during this tough time.”

When Sanchayita claimed to have cancer, Rheea and Ankur helped her financially. They believed Sanchayita was an orphan with no family support or medical insurance.

They decided to raise funds for her treatment. The community came together and raised money quickly. Ankur sent the money to Sanchayita in parts. She sent them two medical reports, but after that, they didn’t receive any more. Her treatment plan became unclear over time.
