Ground Report | New Delhi: Who is Rahul Kapoor; Delhi Police Cyber Cell has summoned an 18-year-old from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, to take part in the investigation after it was discovered that he had created a group on the Clubhouse app, where several users allegedly make derogatory remarks about Muslim women.
On Saturday, Delhi Police said they identified the person - he is continuing his studies and created the Clubhouse ID under a fictitious name from a different religion. His father works as an accountant in a military school. Police said a team had been dispatched to Lucknow and the 18-year-old, who had checked in with the username "Bismillah" on the app, had been apprehended.

The man identified as Rahul Kapoor, a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, turned out to be an ID Bismillah user. "He was found and he admitted that under Sallos' direction, he created an audio chat room in the Clubhouse and handed over the moderator key to Sallos," a senior police official told IANS.
Rahul will join the investigation in Delhi by today evening,” the official said. It was also learned that the police seized Rahul's mobile phone. The officer said Rahul Kapoor also told the team that he handed over the chat room's moderator key to 'Sallos'. The man claims to have created an audio chat room on Clubhouse on the instructions of a person, whom he identified as "Sallos", KPS Deputy Police Commissioner Malhotra said.
Fake ID
A senior Cyber Cell officer said, “A team went to the teenager's house late last night. He used a fake ID on the app and created the group where he and 4-5 others made vulgar and obscene comments against Muslim women.
Cyber Cell officials said they sent notices to the US-based company for details of the group's users/organizers, and also sent a notice to the GooglePlay Store to "vet" these apps. An FIR under IPC Sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on the basis of religion), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion), and 354 A ( sexual harassment) were recorded in the question.
Earlier this week, on January 17, a video of a Clubhouse conversation on the subject of “Muslim girls are more beautiful than Hindu girls” went viral on social media. In the said conversation, participants were heard making obscene, vulgar and derogatory remarks aimed at Muslim women and girls.
