Ground Report | New Delhi: Who is Cong candidate Archana Gautam; Archana Gautam, actress and winner of several beauty pageants, is ready to start a new beginning. Archana, who joined the Congress in 2021, will take part in the upcoming UP assembly polls on a candidate for Congress from the Meerut seat in Hastinapur.

Shortly after Archana's name was announced as one of the 125 candidates in the UP polls, images of the actress in a bikini began to go viral on social media. Reacting to the same thing in an interview with ANI, Archana said that people should not mix her profession in the media industry with her political career.

She said, "I represented India at Miss Bikini 2018. I was Miss Uttar Pradesh 2014 and Miss Cosmo World 2018. I ask people not to combine my profession in the media industry with my political career."

Who is Cong candidate Archana Gautam

The Congress party candidate for the Hastinapur (SC-reserved) seat in Meerut is Archana Gautam, a 26-year-old actress and model. She is a familiar face in Hindi and Tamil movies. She had graduated in journalism and mass communication from IIMT, Meerut. She joined the Congress at an event in Lucknow last year.

Gautam had won the Miss UP title in 2014 while studying at the IIMT. She won the title of Miss Bikini India in 2018, the year she also represented India at Miss Cosmos World and won the title of Miss Talent.

Archana has been a part of movies like 'Haseena Parker' and 'Baaraat Company'. She has also appeared in a couple of music videos titled 'Dynamite', 'Nasha Zyaada' and a Punjabi song 'Buggu Oye'.
