The Mumbai Police had filed a supplementary charge sheet in the TRP scam case on January 11, which involved the alleged WhatsApp chat between Arnab Goswami and Partho Dasgupta, based on 200 pages.
Arnab Goswami is the editor-in-chief and owner of Republic TV, while Partho Dasgupta is the former head of BARC. Partho and two others are currently arrested in the TRP scam case.

In the conversation, Goswami assures Dasgupta's help through political leadership, including the Prime Minister's Office, and even says, "All ministers are with us."
Police has filed a supplementary charge sheet against three people, including Partho. Earlier, on 25 November, the police filed a charge sheet. Dasgupta's lawyer Arjun Singh Thakur has leaked private conversations of two people for their own interests.

Arnab's lawyer has refused to speak in this case. In the meantime, former Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore is also mentioned, but he too has refused to give any response in this matter. No response from the Prime Minister's office has been received so far.
Advocate Prashant Bhushan tweeted screenshots of Goswami and Dasgupta's alleged WhatsApp conversations, saying, "These are a few snapshots of the damning leaked WhatsApp chats."

"They show many conspiracies & unprecedented access to power in this govt; gross abuse of his media & his position as power broker. In any Rule of law country, he would be in jail for long (sic)," he added.
The Congress has targeted the BJP in this matter. Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant has said that it is now clear that the BJP and the Modi government at the center are also involved in the TRP scam.
Sawant said that a lot of new questions have arisen after the talks of Goswami and Partho Dasgupta were leaked.
Sawant said that Mumbai Police has busted the TRP scam. Republic channel is also under investigation in this TRP scam. Former BARC chief Partho Das Gupta has been arrested.
He added Modi government and BJP at the Center have been trying to suppress the investigation of this TRP scam since the beginning. Therefore, a new case was registered in Uttar Pradesh and an attempt was made to infiltrate the CBI in this investigation. After Arnab Goswami's WhatsApp chat surfaced, it became clear what the entire venture was being done for.
