Rajasthan: While approving the new guidelines for the implementation of the Indira Gandhi Sehari Rozgar Guarantee Yojana (Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme), Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that Aadhaar cardholders from 18 to 60 years residing in the local authority area will be registered under the scheme.

“For the completion of the works permitted in the scheme, the work will be approved and executed through the committees at the state/region/body level. The ratio of material cost and reward cost for obtaining approved work and carrying it out of a general nature will be 25:75 and for works of a special nature, the ratio will be Material cost and wages 75:25.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in the 2022-23 budget, has announced 100 days of employment per year for urban families under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. The state government will spend Rs 800 crore annually on this scheme

On Sunday, he said the business will be repaid in the workers' bank accounts within 15 days, according to MGNREGS. Besides, facilities will be made available to workers in the workplace along with the provisions made in the Grievance Handling Scheme and Social Audit.

A planning cell will be formed at the management level of the bodies or the local body to manage the scheme in which several officers/staff will be appointed on dispatch/contract. Besides, it was also agreed to limit the administrative expenses of the proposed scheme at 6 per cent of Rs 800 crore as per MGNREGS,” Gehlot said.

Gehlot announced in his budget 2022-23 the creation of employment opportunities for 100 days per year for families residing in urban areas within the framework of IGUEGS.

According to the new guidelines, in the proposed scheme, people between the ages of 18 and 60 residing in the local body area will be registered based on the Jan Aadhaar Card.

To get the executed works allowed in the scheme, the work will be approved and implemented through the committees at the state/region/body level. The ratio of material cost and reward cost for obtaining approval and execution of work of a general nature will be 25:75 and for work of a private nature, the ratio of material cost and wages will be 75:25.

The business will be paid into the workers' bank accounts within 15 days according to MGNREGS. Besides, facilities will be made available to workers in the workplace along with the text provided in the scheme for complaints handling and social scrutiny.
