Bhopal residents will face power cuts in multiple areas on Saturday, May 17. The electricity department has announced that supply will be interrupted for several hours due to maintenance, construction, and technical upgrades.

Officials advised residents to prepare in advance. Power supply will resume once the scheduled work is completed. The cuts will affect both residential and institutional zones across the city.

Below is the list of affected areas and timing details:

Area Timing Reason
Sakshi Dhaba, Mendora, Kerwa Dam, Krishi Sansthan, Dairy State, Barkhedi Khurd, Sanskar Valley School, Sharda Vihar, Kerwan Guest House, Kerwan Pump, and nearby areas 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Construction and maintenance work
Van Smriti, RMCU, Bishankhedi, and nearby areas 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM CDS-related work
Misrod Phase 1 Sector, Salaiya Gaon, and nearby areas 9:00 AM – 2:00 AM Line maintenance
Nishatpura, Arif Nagar, and nearby areas 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Maintenance work
Devki Nagar, Karond, Panchvati Phase I & II, Berasia Road, Krishi Anusandhan Colony, Brij Colony, Maya Enclave, Karond Square, CIAE Nabibagh, Nishatpura Police Station, and nearby areas 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Maintenance work

More than 30 areas will be affected, including major zones like Kerwa Dam, Van Smriti, Misrod, and Karond.

The power department requested cooperation from residents and assured that all efforts will be made to complete the work on time and restore electricity as quickly as possible.
