A video has gone viral on social media in which a man is seen abusing a small girl child and threatening her for abusing her religion. Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women sent a notice to police demanding action against the accused.
DCW issued a notice to Cyber Crime Cell after the video went viral. In the video, the man intimidates the little girl, who is visibly scared and shocked. The man can also be seen threatening a young boy in the same video and verbally abusing him for belonging to a particular religious community.
Maliwal stated, “Increasingly, we are witnessing several cases of communal hatred, both online and offline. This video is extremely disturbing as little children are being targeted by a man simply because they belong to a particular religion." "The video shamelessly depicts the vile, dangerous and hateful mentality of the man, who needs to be urgently arrested and put behind bars, before he hurts and traumatises anyone else. I have issued a notice to Delhi Police in the matter so that the man can be identified and acted against," she added
The head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal, has issued a notice to the Delhi Police Cyber Crime Cell calling for urgent registration of the FIR as well as arrests in the matter. The Commission has also sought action by the Delhi Police to remove the said video from circulation on social media.
