Internet shutdown across Rajasthan after tailor’s murder in Udaipur. Police have been deployed at different places in Udaipur and tension is going on. Curfew has been imposed and all markets and shops are closed. SIT has been formed to probe the incident. CM Ashok Gehlot has said that whether there is an international connection with this massacre, will also be investigated.
In a conversation with the media in Jodhpur, Ashok Gehlot said, “Look, the incident is very big, it is heinous, it is a very heinous incident.”
“I had said yesterday also that the amount of condemnation is less and that’s why we have formed SIT. The SIT has started its work from last night itself, made in the night itself and now as soon as we reach Jaipur, we There are laws and the news that is coming, who has killed, what was their plan, what was the conspiracy, with whom is there relation, is there any national-international agency to which there is a link, all the things will come out.”
“That’s why we are taking it seriously that the incident is not minor and cannot happen unless it is linked to some kind of radical element at the international or national level unless something like this happens,” he said. The incident doesn’t happen, experience says, that’s how the investigation has been started.
“I will inform the media about the result, the response which will come will be after a meeting in Jaipur.” He said, “Udaipur minister has arrived in the night itself, the minister in charge had reached there and now after leaving will decide whom else to send, what to do.”
The Union Home Ministry has handed over the investigation into the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The Ministry of Home Affairs has given this information by tweeting.
It has been said in the tweet- the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the NIA to take over the investigation of the heinous murder of Kanhaiya Lal yesterday in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Any organization or international relations in this matter will be thoroughly investigated.
Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor, was killed by two men by entering his shop in Udaipur, Rajasthan on Tuesday. Both had also made a video of the murder and called it revenge for the controversial remarks of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad. Both the accused have also been arrested by the police from Bhima of Rajsamand district.
Both have been identified as Mohammad Riaz and Ghaus Mohammad. Both are admitting to beheading Kanhaiyalal in a video. He has also threatened to kill PM Modi in this video. Meanwhile, Udaipur Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar has said that action will be taken against the accused. He appealed to the people to have faith in the law. He said that at present the law and order situation is under control.
On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Gulab Chand Kataria has reached MB Government Hospital in Udaipur. He said that the police should have protected Kanhaiya Lal when he demanded it. He said that this is a 100% failure of the police. In Rajasthan, Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN has said that the accused are being questioned and whose names will come in the investigation and action will be taken against them.
