Renewable curtailment

Increasing integration of renewable energy, which is variable and intermittent, poses significant challenges for grid operators in performing their duties effectively.

As per the recent report by the global think tank Ember, India is on a trajectory to more than triple its renewable energy capacity by 2030 as outlined in the country’s 14th National Electricity Plan (NEP14).

Energy think tank Ember has analyzed national targets and found that governments are already planning to double renewable capacity by 2030.
