गाजियाबाद (Ghaziabad) के मुरादनगर से पुरकाजी तक अपर गंगा कनाल के किनारे 111 किमी सड़क का निर्माण होने जा रहा है। सरकार ने एनजीटी को दिए जवाब में बताया है कि  तीन जिलों गाजियाबाद, मेरठ और मुजफ्फरनगर में लगभग 222.98 हेक्टेयर भूमि पर पेड़ों की कटाई जाएगी।
