A school teacher was allegedly kidnapped and later raped by the principal of a private school in the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
The 22-year-old rape survivor has now filed a complaint after the accused director has been booked. It is also alleged that the defendant also recorded a video of the sexual assault.
Police filed a case against the defendants under Sections 366 (kidnapping), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) following a complaint from the victim's parents. Sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act have also been invoked, according to a PTI report.
Police have arrested the accused and are questioning him. Meanwhile, the victim is still missing. Police have formed teams to search for the missing girl.
Inspector in charge of Tilhar Police Station Virendra Singh said the accused, a resident of a village under Tilhar Police Station, took the teacher, who works at the school run by his wife, to Shahjahanpur for a job, where he raped her in a hotel and also made a video.
Bajpai added that, according to the FIR, the accused used to repeatedly exploit the woman by threatening to kill her family members and making the video viral if he told anyone about the incident. He said that the father of the victim stated that the victim informed the family about the incident on July 26 (Tuesday), after which they confronted the accused.
UP Minister Suresh Khanna met with the victim's family and assured them that his daughter would be found soon.
The victim's parents in the complaint stated that her daughter was asked to accompany the defendant to a 'school-related job' where the school principal gave her a drink laced with sedatives and raped her. He also filmed the act. The incident occurred two months ago.
Since the incident, the parents alleged that the defendant had been blackmailing the girl with the video of her and forcing her into a physical relationship.
