People are dying due to fear of COVID-19: UP minister

Suresh Kumar Khanna, Medical Education Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh said that people are also dying due to fear of covid-19.

Talking to the press after inspecting a government medical college in Shahjahanpur (UP), Khanna said that people who are being found infected with corona are spreading fear about the disease which is also causing many deaths.

He said that it is everyone's responsibility to reduce the atmosphere of fear.

Talking to the press, Suresh Kumar Khanna said, "People are scared of others after finding covid positive, due to which the death rate has also increased."

After inspecting the Government Medical College, he said that those who are undergoing treatment for corona here, are completely satisfied with the treatment.

He claimed that due to the activism of the UP government, there has been a decrease in corona cases in the state.

However, according to the Union Health Ministry, Uttar Pradesh is currently one of the states where most new cases of corona infection are coming.

On Sunday, more than 23 thousand new cases of corona were reported in Uttar Pradesh and 296 people died due to infection. So far more than 15 thousand people have died in the state after corona infection.

On Sunday itself, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to extend the partial corona curfew imposed in the state to May 17, which was to end earlier on Monday morning.
