Pankhuri Pathak, a resident of Uttarakhand, has been fielded by the Congress from Gautam Buddha Nagar seat. Pankhuri grew up in Delhi, her parents are doctors. She has studied from Hansraj College, Delhi. She held the post of Joint Secretary in DU.
Who is Pankhuri Pathak
Active in politics from student life, Pankhuri joined the Samajwadi Party after college. She was the youth wing president in SP. In 2016, she was made the first woman spokesperson of the party. In 2019, due to differences with other party members, he said goodbye to the SP and joined the Congress. Her husband Anil Yadav also left the Samajwadi Party and joined the Congress last year. Pankhuri Pathak is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Media Department of UP Congress.
Congress leader Pankhuri Pathak will contest the assembly elections from Noida. Congress has given ticket expressing its trust in her. On getting the ticket, Pankhuri Pathak has expressed gratitude towards Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. She said that I am a girl, I am the mother of a girl. This struggle of mine is dedicated to all the girls of India. Thank you Priyanka didi for making me the candidate from Noida.
Priyanka Gandhi said that the list of our candidates is a new message. 40% of the youth were also kept while 40% of the women were kept. We hope that through them we will do a new kind of politics. In the tickets given to women, some are journalists, some are actresses. The list of social workers also includes women who have struggled and been subjected to atrocities. From our list we want to convey that the real purpose of politics is service. This has changed to a large extent, but we want to bring this motive back.
