Neemuch: Robbery accused shot Rajasthan police, escaped on a bike

A team of six members from Rajasthan police were taking the robbery accused from Mandsaur to Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.

On Wednesday, June 14th, a team of six members from Rajasthan police were taking the robbery accused from Mandsaur to Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. On their way, two bike riders forced the police vehicle to stop. The accused in the vehicle took advantage of the situation, overpowered and grabbed a gun from the SI and fired shots. After which they escaped on the same bike.

The Sub-inspector Narulal Gehlot, of Nimbahera police station, got shot in the process. The sub-inspector was injured in the firing along with policeman Ramavatar Meena who got hurt in his hand. 

Context

Back in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan on June 5th, Three buffaloes, cash and mobiles were stolen. The victim, Gyan Singh Gujjar filed a complaint at the Nimbahera Sadar Police Station, Rajasthan. The Police had traced the three accused in Mandsaur City, MP. Additionally, they travelled to the Pipli Mandi police station to take them back to Rajasthan. After taking the accused into their custody the police were on their way when the incident took place at Jaitpura Fante located in the Fourlane of Neemuch police station of MP. 

Post-incident

The Neemch police arrived at the spot as soon as they got the information along with the ASP Sunder Singh Kanesh, CSP Phool Singh Paraste, Deputy SP and the station in charge of Nimbahera police station. Narulal Gehlot who was injured was referred to the Udaipur hospital after his first aid was done. 
Post the incident, a special team of around 15 from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan police forces has been formed to look for the accused. An FIR has been registered in the Neemuch Police Station and a reward of 30 thousand has been put on the three accused. The accused are identified as, Lakhan (23), Narendra (24) and Deepak(22).
