MP: 15 new flyovers & bridges to be built; 4 in Indore & 2 in Bhopal

The construction of 15 new flyovers and rail overbridges with an aim make transportation easy and accessible in the cities.

The construction of 15 new flyovers and rail overbridges will be done with a budget of 869 crores. Further, the Minister of the Public Works Department of Madhya Pradesh, Gopal Bhargava said that the process has already begun for this project. The aim of this development project is to make transportation easy and accessible in the cities. 

According to Avinash Lavania, the Managing director of MP’s Road Development Corporation Limited, the 4 flyovers are going to be built in Indore, 2 in Bhopal, and one each in Dhar, Chhatarpur, Vidisha, Gwalior, and Khandwa districts. Further, two Railway overbridges will also be built, each in Bhopal and Seoni cities.

Conclusion

The state of Madhya Pradesh goes to polls this year. Both opposition parties i.e. Congress, and the ruling party BJP are making promises to interest their voters. The construction of flyovers and bridges is always treated as a path of development. More often than not, they are announced whenever elections are around. Definitely, these cities would need this construction to manage the traffic. But, the undertones of an election maneuver can't be sidelined.
