The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, approved a series of proposals focused on rural self-reliance, infrastructure development, education, and welfare. A major highlight was the approval of the Chief Minister Vrindavan Gram Yojana, aimed at turning selected villages into self-sustaining models of development. Each assembly constituency will select one village with at least 2,000 people and 500 cattle to receive focused support on cow rearing, organic farming, solar energy use, water conservation, and rural livelihoods.
The cabinet also gave in-principle approval to reconstruct 1,766 damaged bridges at a cost of Rs 4,572 crore. The plan will be implemented from 2025–26 to 2029–30 to improve all-weather connectivity. The Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority will oversee and monitor the project’s execution.
In the education and skill development sector, the government cleared a proposal to establish a National Defence University campus in Bhopal. The campus will be linked to Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The state will provide Rs 1.05 crore annually for three years and allot 10 acres of land in RGPV Bhopal for its permanent site. A temporary building will be used until the new campus is built.
