CBSE 10th and 12th results declared: Check your result here

CBSE has declared the results of class 10th and 12th board examinations 2024-25. About 44 lakh students had appeared in the 10th and 12th board examinations this time. While only 17.88 lakh students appeared in class 12th.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has today declared the results of class 10th and 12th board examinations 2024-25. About 44 lakh students had appeared in the 10th and 12th board examinations this time. While only 17.88 lakh students appeared in class 12th. Girls have once again maintained their dominance by performing better than boys.

10th Result

A total of 93.60% students passed the Class 10 CBSE exams this year. Girls performed better than boys, with a pass percentage of 95.00% compared to 92.63% for boys.

Trivandrum and Vijayawada recorded the highest pass rate, with 99.79% students clearing the exams.

Across India, 26,676 schools are registered under the CBSE Class 10 board. A total of 21,11,538 students appeared for the exams, which were held from February 15 to March 18.

12th Result

In Class 12, 87.98% of students passed the CBSE exams. The gap between girls and boys was wider than in Class 10. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 91.52%, while only 85.12% of boys passed.

The board did not release a merit list this year, saying it wants to avoid “unnecessary competition.”

Regionally, Delhi, Kerala and Tamil Nadu saw higher pass rates. Students from northeastern states like Tripura and Nagaland also performed well.

Result of government schools

A total of 90.48% of students in government schools passed the Class 12 exams. Central government schools recorded even higher results, with 99.29% of students passing in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, 99.05% in Kendriya Vidyalayas, and 98.96% in Central Tibetan Schools.

Government-aided schools had a pass percentage of 91.57%, while independent private schools showed a lower success rate at 87.94%. Around 45,000 students have been placed in the compartment category and will get another chance to appear for the exam in July 2025.

How to check results

Students can check their results on the official websites of CBSE - cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in. Apart from this, results can also be checked through DigiLocker and UMANG mobile apps.

How to check CBSE Board 10th result

  • Go to results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in
  • Click on 'CBSE Class 10 Scorecard 2025'
  • Fill your application number and date of birth
  • Download the marksheet and keep a print out of it

CBSE Board 12th Result

  • Visit the official website of CBSE Board cbse.gov.in.
  • Click on the link for Class 12th result on the home page.
  • A separate window will open on the screen, where enter your credentials.
  • Then click on the submit button.
  • Your scorecard will open in a new window.
  • Check your result and download it for future reference.

Students can download their digital marksheet from DigiLocker or the official site of CBSE, which will require the mobile number linked to Aadhaar or the PIN provided by CBSE.

The exams began on February 15, with class 10 exams going on till March 18 and class 12 exams till April 2, 2025. After the results are declared, students can now engage in career counselling and college admission processes.
