I-T raids at Pushpraj Jain House, maker of Samajwadi perfume

Ground Report | New Delhi: Pushparaj Jain House; The Income Tax Department on Friday raided the premises of Samajwadi Party MLA Pushparaj Jain in Uttar Pradesh. His house and office are being raided.

Pushparaj Jain is a big businessman in Kannauj and he has a business of perfume. He also launched Samajwadi perfume. Apart from UP, raids have been conducted at some places in other states of Pushparaj Jain.

The Income Tax Department is registering around 50 locations in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Mumbai linked to the businessman who owns perfumery, gasoline pumps and cold storage operations and had launched a 'Samajwadi Party perfume' ahead of the elections. of the UP to be held early next year.

The raid comes amid a haze of speculation surrounding the huge loot at the Kanpur and Kannauj facilities of another businessman Piyush Jain, which led to the recovery of Rs 196 million in cash and 23 kg of gold.

Amid a high-pitched election campaign, the raids have entered political speeches, with the BJP and Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party accusing each other of backing the jailed perfume dealer.

Earlier, the Income Tax Department has raided the house of perfume trader Piyush Jain of Kanpur, where cash worth crores was recovered. Expressing displeasure over this raid, the Samajwadi Party has targeted the ruling BJP.

Who is Pushparaj Jain

Pushparaj Jain, 60, on the other hand, is called a “philanthropist” in Kannauj and a politician who also owns a gas pump and cold storage unit. He also earns from agriculture and has a home and office in Mumbai as well.

Akhilesh Yadav said that it was our MLC Pushparaj Jain, who made perfume for us. Samajwadi Attar (perfume) was launched by SP MLC Pushparaj Jain and not Piyush Jain.

Pushparaj Jain was elected as MLC from Etawah-Farrukhabad in 2016 and he is the co-owner of Pragati Aroma Oil Distillers Pvt Ltd. MLC Pushparaj has a house and an office in Mumbai, from where it deals with exports to around 12 countries mainly in the Middle East. Two of his three brothers work in the Mumbai office while the third one works with him on a manufacturing set-up in Kannauj.

According to his election affidavit in 2016, Pushparaj and his family have movable assets worth Rs 37.15 million and real estate assets worth Rs 10.10 million. He has no criminal record and studied until class 12 at Swaroop Narayan Intermediate College in Kannauj.
