Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his three-day state visit to the United States of America. Upon his arrival, he met several influential figures, including Elon Musk, who expressed admiration for Modi.
Musk, known for his involvement in companies such as Twitter, SpaceX and Tesla, also discussed plans for Tesla's entry into the Indian market. During an interaction with the press, Musk praised Modi's enthusiasm for India's progress and investment, mentioning his earlier meeting at a Tesla factory in California.
Responding to accusations made by Twitter's Jack Dorsey against the Indian government, Musk asserted that companies must comply with local laws or face the consequences. Musk also highlighted the potential of sustainable energy and the Starlink Internet project in India.
He revealed that Prime Minister Modi had invited him to visit India, which he plans to do next year.
Prime Minister Modi's visit includes meetings with high-profile personalities in New York, followed by a meeting with US President Joe Biden in Washington DC, and a joint session speech at the US Congress, culminating in a state dinner hosted by the White House.
What did Elon Musk say?
While answering the questions of the journalists, first of all Musk said that he is very excited about the future of India and he feels that India is one of the largest countries in the world with more possibilities.
He also told about the things that happened in the meeting with PM Modi.
He said, “Actually PM Modi cares a lot about India because he is motivating us to invest in India and we will show it by doing it. We are just waiting for the right time."
Musk said that it was a wonderful meeting and seven years ago he came to his Tesla factory.
What else did Musk say about PM Modi?
During an interview, Elon Musk was asked by a journalist about his take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership on inclusive tech. Musk responded by saying that Modi strives to bring positive change to India by encouraging startups to open up and offering them assistance. He expressed his support for Modi and his initiatives.
Musk had previously expressed his enthusiasm for Tesla's introduction of electric cars to the Indian market. When asked about his investment plans in India, Musk highlighted the great potential for sustainable energy in the country, particularly in solar and wind power. He highlighted the possibilities of generating electricity from these renewable sources.
He discussed the potential of his Internet company, Starlink, in India. Musk mentioned the idea of expanding Starlink's services to rural and remote areas where Internet access is limited or slow. This could greatly benefit those communities.
