An FIR has been lodged at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow regarding this series. The FIR states that Hindu Gods and Goddesses have been insulted in this series and comments made with racial discrimination.

This FIR has been lodged by a Sub-Inspector named Amarnath Yadav, who is himself posted in Hazratganj police station.

Video's original content head Aparna Purohit, web series director Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, writer Gaurav Solanki and others.

The FIR states some objections to the series' scenes and dialogues, stating, "The 17th minute of the first episode of the web series depicts Hindu gods and goddesses mistakenly engaging in religion and speaking in an indecent manner. The sentiment is inciting.

Likewise, in the 22nd minute of the first episode, the caste-hate propaganda dialogue is used. The entire web series depicts a person like the Prime Minister as a dignified post in a very indecent manner and castes There are scenes that show big and big splits and insult women. "

It has also been alleged in the FIR that the intention of the series is to spread class hatred by inciting the religious sentiments of a particular community.

Within two days of the release of this series of 9 episodes, voices of protest have started coming out on social media. These protesting people include people associated with the ruling party BJP.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra has sent a legal notice asking Amazon India to remove this web series from the platform.

Kapil Mishra has also claimed that a notice has been sent to Amazon Prime by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding the Tandav series.

He says that the Ministry has sought immediate reply on this. Doordarshan has also tweeted and said that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has asked Amazon Prime to give clarification regarding this web series.
