A shocking incident came to the light from Uttar Pradesh. A 23-year-old woman was shot dead by her brothers for marrying a dalit boy. And that she had married a dalit person against the family. The incident took place in her native village in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district. The woman was working in Delhi and brothers called her and then shot her dead.

The victim is identified as Chandani Kashyap. According to a Times of India report, the accused brothers later told the family and buried the body in the field. The report says that the victim's husband last spoke to her on 20 November, since then there was no information about her. 

After a 10-hour search by the police, the body of the woman was removed from the farm on Friday, December 11. The victim married Arjun Kumar, 25, in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh on 12 June. Both were in a relationship for eight years. The couple was living in Trilokpuri area of ​​Delhi. After marriage, Chandani's brothers started talking to her and persuaded her to come to his ancestral residence in Mainpuri.

According to the woman's husband Arjun, Chandani's brother drove her away on 17 November. Later on 20 November, Chandani told Arjun over phone that his family members had beaten her and they did not want her to return back. "During the conversation, Chandani's phone was abruptly disconnected and the phone has been switched off since then, Arjun said. 

On 22 November, Arjun lodged a complaint at Mayur Vihar police station before going to Chandani's native village for questioning. As soon as Arjun arrived in Mainpuri with his mother and uncle, he was told that Chandani had left for Delhi alone. Based on Arjun's statement, an FIR has been registered against the victim's brothers. A case of murder has been registered after the victim's brother Sunil Kashyap 'confessed' to the crime. The victim's two brothers are still absconding.
