Ground Report | News Desk: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that the biotech maker Bharat Biotech has told the Delhi government that they cannot give additional doses of vaccine to the capital Delhi.

He told that the Covaxin vaccine in Delhi is over and due to this, 100 vaccine centers set up in 17 schools have been closed.

"The Covaxin manufacturer has in a letter said that it can not provide Delhi government vaccines due to unavailability, under instruction of concerned government official. It means that the central government is controlling supply of the vaccine," Sisodia said.

Sisodia, tweeting the letter from the company, described it as an example of mismanagement of the central government on the vaccine and said that the company had written that it could not give the vaccine on the instructions of the center official, and this meant that the central government vaccinated Is controlling the supply of

He wrote, "I want to say once again that exporting the 6.6 crore vaccine was the biggest mistake."

"We had demanded 1.34 crore doses, 67 lakhs each of Covaxin & Covishield. Covaxin (Bharat Biotech) wrote to us yesterday that they can't provide. They wrote 'we're making dispatches as per directives of concerned govt officials," said Sisodia

Sisodia said that by immediately stopping the export of vaccine, the government should share the formulas of the two vaccine companies in the country with other companies so that they can be produced on a large scale.

He also urged the Center to approve the vaccine available in the international market and issue a directive to the states to give the vaccine to all within three months.
