Ground Report | New Delhi: 6 IPS Officers in Delhi; For the first time, 6 out of 15 districts of Delhi will have women DCPs, till now there were three women DCPs in the capital. An order issued by the Home Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been approved by the LG and three postings have been confirmed.

Benita Mary Jaiker, an officer posted in the South district, said that I am happy that everyone is being given equal opportunity. The examination and training of all officers is same. When there was no inequality then, there should be none now. I hope that I will live up to the expectations. Jayakar, a 2010 IPS batch officer, has served in the Delhi Police for 10 years. Earlier she was posted as DCP in 7th Battalion.

6 IPS Officers in Delhi
While Esha Pandey will take charge as DCP Southeast district and Shweta Chauhan will lead the Central District. IPS officers Usha Rangnani, Urvija Goel, and Priyanka Kashyap are posted as DCPs in North West, West, and East districts respectively.

Jayakar said that when I joined Delhi Police as a probationer 10 years ago, I was posted in South district. I was working during the gangrape-murder case in December 2012. I think I am familiar with the district and the work. There will be new challenges for a DCP, but I am ready.
Major Regis in Delhi Police
Jasmeet Singh, DCP Central District, Pointed Pratap Singh, DCP southwest District, and Rajeev Ranjan, DCP Outer North District have been posted in the Special Cell as DCP.
