Ground Report | New Delhi: Why Uninstall Bharatpe is trending on Twitter; BharatPe co-founder and managing director Ashneer Grover has deleted his tweet accusing him of haste while describing a viral audio clip as "fake". In the audio clip, Grover was accused of abusing and threatening to kill a Kotak Mahindra Bank NSE-0.57% employee over margin funding for the initial public offering.

The bank acknowledged that the couple had sent them a legal notice on October 30, without elaborating the reasons, alleging that the bank had failed to secure the finance and allotment of shares in the Nykaa IPO, seeking damages 500 crores demanded.

“This notice was received by us and responded appropriately at that time, including taking on record our objections to the inappropriate language used by Grover. Appropriate legal action is being taken,” a media statement from Kotak Mahindra Bank said.

Last week, an audio clip surfaced on social media in which a couple was abusing the relationship manager of a bank who was rumored to be engaged to Grover, but Ashneer Grover called any such claim "fake".

Grover reportedly said that some scammers are trying to extort money (USD 2,40,000 bitcoin) and they have more character than that, in a tweet that was later deleted.

The clip, at about 4:29 minutes, features an exchange between three people: two male voices and one female voice.

It begins with a male voice saying, "Hi sir, how are you?"

At the other end of the alleged phone conversation, the angry man's voice starts abusing in Hindi.

"Are you drunk, sir?" Another male voice asks.

"are you dumb?" An angry voice responds.

“No, I'm not dumb. But please sir, pay attention to your language. I had a wonderful relationship with you and I don't want to spoil it,” says the male voice that starts the conversation.
