A tragic incident occurred in Maharashtra’s Matunga on February 23 when 25-year-old Saurabh Kumar Ladda employee of a multinational corporation died by suicide. Saurabh Kumar Ladda, a talented individual with degrees from prestigious institutions such as IIT and IIM, reportedly succumbed to the "pressure at his workplace," as per The Indian Express.
The Matunga police have initiated an investigation after registering a case of accidental death. Ladda allegedly jumped from the ninth-floor balcony of his Wadala apartment. He had recently returned from Ahmedabad, where he was engaged in a work project, according to Express sources.
Authorities are interviewing Ladda's flatmates, parents, and colleagues to understand the circumstances leading to this tragic event and the state of his mind before his untimely death.
"We are also calling his colleagues at his workplace who were part of the project to understand the pressure he was under and also to identify the situation he was in," remarked a senior police officer involved in the investigation.
Cops have also spoken to the man's girlfriend who claimed that work pressure was troubling him. "We also found a few messages where he talks about work pressure," added the officer.

Saurabh Kumar Ladda, a young consultant at McKinsey & Company’s Mumbai office, was a rising star with an impressive educational background. An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Calcutta, Ladda had a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, credentials that underscored his academic prowess.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Saurabh's professional journey included a stint as an intern at a multinational company and an Investment Associate at a prominent VC fund in India. At McKinsey, he contributed to various sectors, offering strategies for growth, market entry, sales acceleration, and cost optimization. Before McKinsey, he interned at notable organizations, including Asia's largest student-run VC fund and a leading Pharmaceuticals firm.
Tragically, on February 23, Saurabh allegedly jumped from the balcony of his ninth-floor apartment in Wadala, leaving family, friends, and colleagues in shock. His parents, based in Pune, are now grappling with this profound loss. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing, shedding light on the challenges many professionals face in high-pressure work environments.
