The bullet-riddled body of a police sub-inspector Farooq Ahmad Mir was found under mysterious circumstances in the Pampore area of ​​Pulwama district in southern Kashmir.

Initially, a gunshot wound was found near his heart. Officials said Mir was stationed at the IRP 23rd Battalion at CTC Lethpora.

According to the preliminary investigation, the police officer had left his house to work in his paddy fields last night, where he was shot dead, Kashmir area police said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on Friday, 3 Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorists, including one responsible for the murder of school teacher Rajni Bala, were killed in Kulgam.
