Indian U-19 World Cup-winning skipper Unmukt Chand shared news of his marriage with Simran Khosla on Social Media.

Who is Simran Khosla?

Simran Khosla is Founder and CEO of Butt Like an Apricot, an online Fitness Coaching and Diet Consultancy platform that seeks to transform India into a healthier country by breaking the myths of “dieting” and making people more aware of the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle.

For her, it’s always been about closing the knowledge gap between what people think “healthy” is and what it actually is. With over 2000 clients in over 33 countries, she’s on her way to revolutionize the way people associate the concept of nutrition with the concept of leading a healthy and disease free life; without the need of starving themselves to “lose weight” but rather “gaining health” on the way.

She also shared video of her marriage ceremony on Instagram.

Unmukt Chand, the former India U-19 World Cup-winning captain, announced his retirement in August 2021 from Indian cricket at the age of 28, saying he is open to “better opportunities around the world.”

Chand, who led the U-19 national team in the 2012 World Cup, came into the limelight after scoring an unbeaten knock of 111 in the final of the tournament. After becoming an India A regular, he also captained the side till 2015.

Unmukt made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils in 2013 and got out clean bowled for a first ball duck in the season opener game versus KKR. Then he moved to RR during IPL 7 in 2014. In 2015 he was picked up by MI. With MI he won his first IPL Title.

Unmukt Chand was born in a Kumauni Rajput family to Bharat Chand Thakur and Rajeshwari Chand.
