Ground Report | New Delhi: Tribal Man killed brutally; In Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, a 45 years old man was brutally killed after being tied to a pick-up with a truck and dragged on the road. As some people mistook him as a thief and had beaten him badly.

Tribal Man killed brutally

The 45-year-old deceased was identified as Kanha, alias Kanhiya Bheel a resident of Banada village. Some people in the village caught him as a thief and started beating him. Some more people of the village came there, and beat up the deceased Kanhaiya, and dragged him behind the loading vehicle to get the truth out. 

The shocking incident happened when Tribal Man was searching for his wife, who had left with her brother-in-law. He was stopping vehicles on the road and checking if his wife was inside the vehicle. This is about the time when the main accused Chitar Gurjar was riding a motorcycle. He deliberately killed Bheel, suspecting the tribal man to be a thief.

These people had dialed the police helpline number and claimed that there was a thief with them. The police reached the spot and took the seriously injured youth to the nearest community health center. He was referred to Neemuch district hospital where he was declared brought dead on arrival.

A video of the tragedy that took place in Jetiya village has been widely circulated on social media sites. The clip shows a man wearing a sandal hitting a tribal straight in the face - with the best of slangs thrown around like confetti, even as the man begs him to let go.

Eight people identified

Superintendent of Police, Neemuch Suraj Verma said, "Eight people have been identified in the case. Five of them have been arrested, the rest will be arrested soon. The viral video helped in identifying the culprits." "

The accused have been charged with murder, under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.
