On Thursday, militants shot dead three leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir. At YK Pora in Kulgam, militants opened fire on Fida Hussain Ittu, Umer Rashid Baig and Umer Hanan. 

Jammu and Kashmir police said that the three were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. 

Police has said that a case has been registered under the relevant laws in this case and investigation has been started. 

The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has condemned the terrorist attack, stating that Fida Hussain Ittoo was the Kulgam District General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, while Umer Rashid Baig was the District Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Kulgam district, while Umer Hanan was also the Bharatiya Janata Youth Was the District General Secretary of the Morcha. 

The party said those responsible for the attack would not be left out. The Jammu and Kashmir BJP said in a tweet, "This inferior act reflects the frustration of the terrorists." May God give peace to departed souls and give strength to their families to bear this sorrow. Our heartfelt condolences are with their families. ''

In the past, many BJP leaders have been attacked in Jammu and Kashmir. In July this year, terrorists killed former district president Wasim Ahmed Bari and his father and brother in Bandipora. Last month, BJP leader and sarpanch Sajjad Ahmad Khande was shot dead by terrorists in Kulgam itself. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the killing of three BJP workers by terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 

PM Modi has tweeted saying that I condemn the killing of our three young activists. He was doing a good job in Jammu and Kashmir. My condolences to his family in this hour of grief. May their souls rest in peace.

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha strongly condemned the killings in Qazigund area of the South Kashmir district and said that the perpetrators are enemies of humanity and such cowardly acts cannot be justified.

“Law shall take its course and the guilty shall be dealt with sternly,” Sinha said, assuring the bereaved families of all possible assistance from the administration

The Resistance Front (TRF), which is considered as a mask organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for these killings. Fida Hussain, Omar Hajam and Omar Rashid Baig were shot dead by militants in Yai Pora area of ​​Kulgam district late Thursday evening, a police officer said.

He said the victims were rushed to a local hospital in Qazigund where doctors declared them dead. In a message posted in Hindi and English on its social media account, TRF said that the cemetery will be filled. 

He said that the perpetrators of violence are enemies of humanity and such cowardly acts cannot be justified. Terrorist attacks on BJP workers and leaders have increased in Jammu and Kashmir since June. 

Seven people have been murdered so far. In July, the BJP leader, his father and brother were killed by terrorists in a similar attack in Bandipura.

the BJP J&K unit party chief blasted the Pakistan-sponsored attackers and claimed that they will “pay a heavy price” for what they have done.

“They were brave workers of BJP. They attained martyrdom for Bharat Mata and their sacrifice won’t go in vain. Coward Pakistanis will have to pay heavy price for their sins…each one of them will be neutralised,” J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina said, news agency ANI reported.
