“We are witnessing a catastrophe before our very eyes,” said David Beasley, WFP’s executive director. The famine caused by conflict, the shocking effects of climate change and the global epidemic of Code 19 are knocking on the doors of millions of families. ”

The worst-hit countries are Yemen, South Sudan and northern Nigeria, according to the report. The worst crisis in the world is in African countries, but now countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon and Haiti are also facing the possibility of further increase in severe hunger.

“To save millions of people from starvation, we urgently need three things: fighting must stop, we must reach out to such vulnerable communities so that we can help them save their lives,” said David Beasley.
