Strict on Holi due to Covid-19, these are guidelines in these states

Today is Holi, the festival of colors. But amid increasing cases of corona virus, many states have stopped celebrating Holi festival. Concern has increased because more than 60 thousand cases of corona infection are being reported in the country every day for the past few days.

Even Prime Minister Modi cancelled the Holi Milan program and advised people to gather in large numbers and not to play Holi.

However, health officials and experts are concerned that the festival of Holi and Shab-e-Baaraat could prove to be a super-spreader if people do not follow the covid-19 protocol.

Many states have issued guidelines for Holi.

Delhi : Delhi Police has appealed people to avoid gathering in public on Holi and celebrate the festival at home. On March 23, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority had ordered that it would be forbidden to celebrate the upcoming festivals like Holi and Navratri in public. 

Citing the DDMA order, Delhi Police PRO Chinmay Biswal appealed to the people to follow the covid-19 protocol and said permission to gather and celebrate in public for Holi at grounds, parks, markets or religious places Is not.

Maharashtra : In view of the sudden increase in the cases of Corona virus, the civic and district administrations of Maharashtra have banned celebrating Holi both in private and public places. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has appealed people not to go out during Holi without any reason and to strictly follow the covid-19 protocol.

In Rajasthan, some concessions have been given in the restrictions and public events have been allowed between 4 pm and 10 pm. However, more than 50 people cannot participate in these events. Also, people have been asked to follow the covid-19 guidelines and take care of social distancing along with masks.

Apart from this, many types of restrictions have been imposed in other states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh: In the  state, the government has issued special guidelines before Holi, according to which we will not be able to do any kind of celebration or celebration on Holi. 

Permission from the administration has to be taken to organize any event. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has banned the organization of Holi Milan celebrations without permission. 

If anyone wants to do this, permission has to be obtained from the administration. It will be mandatory for people to use masks and sanitizers. If the crowd gathers in public places, then it will be the responsibility of the police. 

The Yogi government has ordered to activate the covid help desk again in the state. In addition, all council and private schools from classes one to eight will have a holiday of Holi from March 24 to 31. However, there is no restriction in UP about not getting out of the house or the market.

Bihar:  Nitish government of Bihar has also banned public programs of Holi. CM Nitish Kumar has appealed not to hold public events during Holi, as covid cases are also increasing here. He said, we will urge all people to be alert and alert.

Haryana: The state government in the state has banned the public festival for the festival of Holi. Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said in a tweet that the Haryana government has banned the public celebration of Holi. 

Gujarat: In view of the  increasing Corona cases, the Gujarat government has banned public celebrations during Holi. Corona outbreak in the state is continuously increasing.  

Punjab: Corona is also seeing havoc in Punjab under which Holi Milan celebrations have been banned in the state. Night curfew is already in place in many districts in the state. In view of the increasing corona cases, the testing is being increased here.
